What is EXTRASILVER?
EXTRASILVER is a line of four hair products: shampoo, mask and two different styling products for applying before styling. They are enriched with violet and blue pigments, which are able to neutralize the yellow or golden effect that can occur over time in white, streaked or blonde hair, whether natural, colored or bleached.
How does EXTRASILVER work?
The pigments contained in the products envelop the hair in a colored film, cooling the tone and eliminating unwanted brassiness.
Does EXTRASILVER really work?
Yes, the coloring effect is visible even after the first application.
Does EXTRASILVER damage hair?
Absolutely not. The products in the line are not permanent colorants and don’t have lightening power. On the contrary, thanks to the naturally derived active ingredients in the formulas, they hydrate the hair and soothe the scalp, often irritated from previous technical services.
How do you use the products in the EXTRASILVER line?
- Wash your hair with the Ice Effect Shampoo, leaving it to work for 1 to 5 minutes.
- After rinsing, apply the Ice Effect Mask for 1-3 minutes, then rinse.
- Apply one of the two styling products, choosing from Ice Effect Silkening Cream or Ice Effect Restructuring Mousse, to damp hair before drying.
Can I use the products in the EXTRASILVER line to tone bleached hair after highlighting or balayage services?
Yes, thanks to the high content of cold pigments, the line can also be used as a true Toner. After bleaching, rinse the bleach and apply the Ice Effect Shampoo to the roots using a bowl and brush, as if it were a toner. Leave in for 3-5 minutes, then massage the lengths with more product to even out the result. Next, continue with the Ice Effect Mask and then with the most suitable Ice Effect Styling.
How long should EXTRASILVER products be left in?
The leave-in time varies based on the desired effect: longer leave-in times intensify the cooling of the tone. On bleached hair, for example, it is possible to obtain a platinum effect in a few minutes, whilst for a white/silver result the leave-in times must be longer.
Why does the Ice Effect Shampoo require longer leave-in times than the mask?
The shampoo has a greater coloring effect thanks to the triple dose of violet and blue pigments, a characteristic which makes it effective even on dark blonde hair (level 8), but in this case more time is needed.
How often should I use EXTRASILVER?
- To maintain white, natural blonde, colored or bleached hair without brassiness, once a week is enough, alternating with a hydrating line.
- For bleached hair that requires cold tones (white, silver or grey), it is advised to use with every wash.
Can I use EXTRASILVER on natural hair?
Yes, but only in the case of natural blondes. In this case, EXTRASILVER gives a more natural effect and makes the blonde less golden, transforming it into a sandy tone.
Can I use it on white hair?
Of course, EXTRASILVER reduces the yellowing of white hair.
Can I use it on bleached hair?
Yes, thanks to the high content of cold pigments, EXTRASILVER can provide a quick and safe alternative to traditional toner on the day of the technical service and an optimum solution for the maintenance of this effect over time.
